Funeral Mass for Alice Pinkston, 89 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-October 27, 2007-10:00 AM at St. Vivian Catholic Church in Milan, New Mexico. Very Rev. Alberto Avella will be the celebrant. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park.
A rosary will be recited on Friday-October 26, 2007-7:00 PM at St. Vivian Catholic Church.
Mrs. Pinkston was born on November 30, 1917 in Colorado and passed away on October 23, 2007 in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She and her son were the owners of Pinkston Day and Night Market in Milan since 1957.
She is survived by her son: Howard Pinkston and wife Vanessa of Grants, New Mexico; Brothers: Vince James of Denver, Colorado, John James of Poncha Springs, Colorado, Joe James and wife Virginia of Casper, Wyoming, Jimmy James and wife Louise of Grand Junction,Colorado, Fred James and wife Margaret of Sun City West, Arizona; Sisters: Lorraine Alfonso of Trinidad, Colorado, Mitzi Staples of Milan, New Mexico and Rosalie Spicola and husband Frank of Denver, Colorado; Grandchildren: Andrew Pinkston, Philip Pinkston and Stephen Pinkston all of Grants, New Mexico.
She is preceded in death by her husband: F. L. Pinkston; Parents: Dominic and Rose James; Daughter: Sherry Braun; Brother: Ralph James and sister: Josephine Gettings.
Pallbearers will be:Andrew Pinkston, Philip Pinkston, Stephen Pinkston, Willie Jones, Aaron Dean, Phil Danzel.
