Alfredo Gallegos

Funeral Mass for Alfredo Gallegos, 73, of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Thursday-May 24, 2007-10:00 AM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church. Burial will follow at the Grants Memorial Park with full military honors by the VFW Lodge 3321. Father Alberto Avella will be the Celebrants.



A rosary will be recited on Wednesday-May 23, 2007-7:00 PM at St. Teresa of Avila Catholic Church.



Mr. Gallegos was born on May 16, 1934 and passed away on May 20, 2007 in Grants, New Mexico. He was a Veteran of the US Army-82nd Airborne. Barbershop owner/operator, Auto body show owner, Rancher owner/operator, Driller owner/operator, Crusher owner/operator, City Councilman, Carpenter, Mechanic, Outdoorsman/Hunter and Family Man.



He is survived by his wife: Bennie Gallegos of Grants, New Mexico; Children: Anthony I. Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, David & wife Gloria Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, Joe Chavez of Grants, New Mexico and Molly & husband Ray Carpenter of Grants, New Mexico; Brother: Rafael Gallegos of San Rafael, New Mexico; Grandchildren: Dennis Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, Desiree Chavez of Grants, New Mexico, Scarlett Carpenter of Grants, New Mexico, Roman Carpenter of Grants, New Mexico and Bryan McCoy of Grants, New Mexico.



He is preceded in death by his parents: Alfredo Gallegos, Sr. and Amalia Gonzales Gallegos; Brothers: Fermin G. Gallegos, Sr., Martin Gallegos; Sister: Rose Saavedra.



Pallbearers will be: Dennis Gallegos, Alfred Saavedra, Steve Chavez, Greg Gallegos, Dennis Chavez, and Bryan McCoy.



Honorary Pallbearers will be: Odie Dominguez, Jose T. Jaramillo, Johnny gabaldon, Johnny Rodriguez, Anthony Chavez, Leonard Cook, Ray Carpenter and Grandchildren, Desiree, Scarlett and Roman.
