Rosary and Funeral Mass for Alex R. Martinez, Sr. 95 of Grants, New Mexico will be held on Saturday-February 13, 2010-10:00 AM at St. Francis Catholic Church in Reserve, New Mexico. Burial will follow in the Mittle Frisco Cemetery in Reserve, New Mexico.
Alex was born on February 27, 1914 in Reserve, New Mexico and he passed away on February 6, 2010 in Grants, New Mexico.
He is survived by his children: Alex Martinez, Jr. and wife Linette of Grants, New Mexico, Henry Martinez and wife Lori of Reserve, New Mexico, Ernestina Trujillo of Las Cruces, New Mexico, Lillie Hill and husband Ben of Springerville, Arizona and Dulce Trujillo and husband Morris of Silver City, New Mexico; Brother: Tony Chavez of San Francisco, California: Sisters: Solida Perea of Los Lunas, New Mexico, Stella Sandoval of Camp Verde, Arizona and Alfires Jojola of Albuquerque, New Mexico; 28 Grandchildren and many great and great great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife: Tomacita Alderete Martinez; Parents: Perfecto Martinez and Petrita Romero Martinez: Brothers: Epie Martinez, Frank Martinez, Henry Martinez and Herman Moreno; Sisters: Asiana Martinez, Carlota Higgins and Stephana Moreno.
Pallbearers will be: Paul Trujillo, Jr., Thomas Hill, Joe Trujillo, Perfecto Martinez, Phillip Martinez and Frank Martinez.
Honorary Pallbearers will be: Rhonda Strack, Patricia Hill, Sandy Arombula, Cindy Martinez, and Erica Martinez.
